PANOLOG

As with all medications, it is extremely important that this medication be used ONLY for the pet for which it is prescribed.

 

BRAND NAME:  PANOLOG®

HOW THIS MEDICATION IS USED

Panolog® ointment is a combination product that contains the antibiotics neomycin and thiostrepton, nystatin, which inhibits yeast and yeast-like fungi, and triamcinolone acetonide, a corticosteroid with anti-inflammatory, anti-itch and anti-allergic properties.  Panolog® is commonly used to treat certain skin and ear infections.

SIDE EFFECTS

Rarely the following are reported when Panolog® is used in the ear: head shaking, vomiting, redness and swelling of the ear.

INTERACTIONS WITH OTHER DRUGS

There are no reported interactions with other drugs.

CONCERNS AND CAUTIONS

Panolog® is not to be used in pets hypersensitive (allergic) to the individual products.

Before this product is used in the ear, the veterinarian will ensure that the ear drum is intact.

Do not allow Panolog® to come in contact with your pet's eyes. Flush well with water if it does and contact your pet’s veterinarian promptly.

Use for the prescribed length of time, not more or less.  Inform your pet’s veterinarian if improvement is not seen in 72 hours.

Store at room temperature.

Keep all medicines out of the reach of children.
