We are pleased that you have stopped to look at our services and facility. Our pleasant and knowledgeable staff is pleased to serve you and your pet. Upon arrival to our clinic, you will be met by our receptionist. If it is your first time to our clinic, she will collect information from you about your pet, either on the phone or when you arrive, and will prepare a file for your pet. If possible, please bring your pet's vaccination history (any certificates, etc) with you, as well as the name of your pet's previous veterinarian or the clinic he/she was last taken. This will allow us to obtain a complete medical record on your pet and provide the highest level of care. Our receptionist will be happy to try to answer any questions you may have about our clinic facility.

 Camrose Animal Clinic
Home
We have two small animal examination rooms, in which the veterinarian will examine your pet. We provide preventative medical procedures including physical examinations (check-ups), dental health examinations, vaccinations, deworming programs, laboratory analysis and radiology. At an appointment with your pet, please take the opportunity to ask any questions you may have about your pet's health, behaviour or diet.
In the surgical preparatory area, small animals are prepared for surgical procedures which include ovariohysterectomy (spay), orchiectomy (neuter), dental cleaning and routine dental work, soft tissue surgery, routine ophthalmic (eye) surgery, basic orthopedic surgery and abdominal surgery. Our veterinary assistants are well-trained and closely monitor your animal during anesthesia. A pulse oximeter is used to increase the safety of anesthesia.
We have radiograph equipment which allows us to provide x-rays of both large and small animals on the premises. Our ABC Vetscan and IDEXX laboratory equipment provides specific in-house laboratory capabilities and rapid test results.  For non-routine testing, we ship samples to a laboratory at the Veterinary College in Saskatoon and receive results within a few days.
Small animal invasive surgery is performed in the surgery room. Sterile procedure is strictly followed. Please feel free to ask our veterinarian any questions you may have regarding the procedure your pet is to undergo.
While your pet stays with us, he/she will be provided with blankets/towels for comfort, plenty of fresh water after they are out of surgery, veterinary diet food if your pet stays overnight, hot water bottles if required and lots of tender loving care. Dogs are walked frequently, and cats' litter boxes are changed as needed. Please feel free to bring your pet's own blanket and a toy for comfort if you wish. If your pet must be hospitalized for an extended period of time, please ask about visiting opportunities.
We offer both in-clinic and outcall large animal services. The preventative services we provide include general health services, physical examinations, vaccinations, laboratory analysis and radiology for both horses and cattle. In addition, dental health examinations and deworming programs are available for horses.

For horses, we provide health certificates, fertility and foaling examinations, Coggins testing, standard castrations, hernia repair, soft tissue surgery, wound debridement and repair, teeth floating and wolf tooth extractions, and export certification.

For cattle, we provide health certificates, fertility examinations and calving assistance, standard castrations, cesarean sections, dehorning, hernia repair, soft tissue surgery, abdominal surgery, export certification and BSE surveillance.

Your relationship with your pet is special, and you are responsible for its care and welfare. Eventually many owners are faced with making life or death decisions for their pets. Perhaps the kindest thing you can do for a pet that is so sick or so severely injured that he or she will never recover normal health is to have your veterinarian induce its death quietly and humanely through euthanasia. Your decision to have your pet euthanized is a serious one that is seldom easy to make. The bereaved may have peace of mind in knowing that their loved one is cared for with respect and compassion. Every pet is looked after professionally, personally and privately.

We offer companion animal cremation services, as an alternative to burial.
