BRAND NAME: CANAURAL EAR DROPS®
HOW THIS MEDICATION IS USED
Canaural Ear Drops® is a combination product that contains diethanolamine fusidate (an antibiotic), framycetin sulphate (an antibiotic), nystatin (inhibits yeast and yeast-like fungi), and prednisolone (an anti-inflammatory corticosteroid which also reduces itching and irritation). It is used to treat certain susceptible ear infections in dogs.
SIDE EFFECTS
No adverse effects have been reported to date from proper use of Canaural®.
INTERACTIONS WITH OTHER DRUGS
There are no documented interactions with other medications.
CONCERNS AND CAUTIONS
Canaural® should not be used in animals with known hypersensitivity or allergy to the individual products in the medication.
Although considered to be safe, long-term Canaural® use should be avoided in animals that are pregnant or nursing.
Before this product is used in the ear, the veterinarian will ensure that the ear drum is intact.
Do not allow Canaural® to come in contact with your pet’s eyes. Flush well with water if it does and contact your pet’s veterinarian promptly.
Use for the prescribed length of time, not more or less. Inform your pet’s veterinarian if improvement is not seen in 72 hours.
Keep all medicines out of the reach of children.
